Disqualification of wrestler Vinesh Phogat from the Olympics: The Indian sports community anxiously awaited the Court of Arbitration for Sport's (CAS) decision on Tuesday regarding wrestler Vinesh Phogat's appeal against her disqualification from the Olympics in Paris, having heard arguments from all sides.
Vinesh, who last Tuesday easily defeated Yui Susaki of Japan in the women's 50kg freestyle final, was disqualified from the gold medal match against eventual winner Sarah Hildebrandt of the United States after it was discovered that she weighed 100 grams more than the allowed amount during the morning weigh-in.
